I misspelled my name while booking a ticket. How do I get it changed?

You can call us to check if the airline you’ve booked entertains name correction requests. Some of them do allow name changes upto 3 letters, and we can pass on your request. However, if the airline doesn’t allow it, you’ll have to cancel and re–book the ticket.

Note: Make sure they have valid proof–of–age documents when they’re checking in, and remember that infants must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old. You can book no more than one infant per adult.

Will I get the same price when my pending booking gets confirmed manually after I reach out to HappyFares?

That is not necessary, the fare is subject to availability. This is because airfares are dynamic and can change by the minute. You can be assured of getting the same airline and timings you had previously chosen, but the fare may or may not be the same as before.

I'm unwilling to travel and would prefer to transfer my ticket to someone else. Can I change my name online?

No. Once a reservation is made, the passenger's name cannot be changed. You would be required to cancel the ticket & book a new flight in the name of the new passenger. Cancellation fees, if any, will apply accordingly.

Can I make a group booking through your site?

When making domestic travel reservations, where do I put my frequent flyer number?

When booking domestic flights of designated airlines, there is an option to add your frequent flyer number while entering the passenger name details .

Can I purchase tickets on HappyFares for infants?

Yes, HappyFares allows you to book tickets for infants.There can only be one infant per adult in a reservation. The infant must be under 24 months old for the full itinerary you are booking in order to qualify for infant rates. This covers both onward and return travel.

I’ve booked my tickets but need to add my child’s tickets to my booking. How do I do it?

A child ( aged 2- 12 yrs) cannot, unfortunately, be included to an existing booking reservation. You must book a separate ticket for the youngster. However, you can request to add an infant to your existing reservation by reaching out to us.

What are Group Promotional Fare Tickets? Are they different from Normal Fare Tickets?

Group promotional tickets are highly restricted special category fares that can be booked subject to availability and come with certain terms and conditions. They guarantee a 100% confirmed reservation. The only way they are different from a normal fare ticket is that they are non-changeable/ non-refundable and come at a fraction of the cost and are very much limited.

After entering my payment information and pressing submit, I was left with a blank screen. I was charged but didn't receive any ticket confirmation. Now what?

We sincerely regret the inconvenience. We advise against trying to make another reservation since it can lead to you being charged twice. You can also reach us via WhatsApp chat(Same number as our helpline)to know the status of your booking. We also ask that you check your emails or SMS for any kind of communication related to the booking transaction. Is it possible to make reservations for someone else using my account?

Sure, when prompted to submit traveler information throughout the booking process, simply enter the information for the passengers you wish to reserve for.

Is there a loyalty programme offered by HappyFares ?

Not at this moment, however there are some tempting offers on the homepage. Keep your eyes peeled for a good deal.

How do I confirm my seat assignments while booking?

It actually depends on the fare that you chose.Certain fares dont allow you to select your seat preferences as the seats are auto assigned by the airlines. In that case you have the option to make an additional payment during booking and choose the desired seat of your choice from the seat map. You already have the option to select a seat of your choice if you’ve chosen to travel via full service carriers.

What should I do if I require specialized assistance?

If you or any co-passengers need any special services while flying, you do have the option to select the special service request while booking your ticket. Some services like wheelchairs are available free of cost, while other special services can be availed by paying a nominal fee. You also have the option to directly get in touch with the respective airlines and let them know what you need.

Meal requests may be made at the time of booking. There is an option to select a meal of your choice as a service add-on during booking with some additional payment.Only Full Service Carriers offer complimentary meal selection which is already included in their respective fares.

You will receive a confirmation email to the email address you submitted when booking the flight tickets within a few minutes. However, there will be times when your booking will be pending and you will have to wait longer than usual. You can reach out to us anytime

How do I get a boarding pass for an e–ticket?

You can submit your ticket confirmation email at the airport check-in counter or go to the web check-in portal on the airline website. An airline employee at the counter will then issue the boarding pass, or you can also print it if you have already completed your web check-in.

How do I find out my baggage limit?

According to airline baggage restrictions and limitations, on aircraft operated by different carriers, different luggage rules may apply.  You can confirm this with the respective airlines.

Do I have to show ID proof at the time of check–in?

Yes, for domestic flights within India, below are the applicable government issued photo-ids accepted by the airlines –

Is web check-in required for flights?

In view of the pandemic, the government is making it obligatory to complete your web check-in prior to arriving at the airport for both domestic and international flights. This is done to reduce unwanted contact and promote safer travel. To web check-in, go to the airline's web check-in page, input your booking reference number/PNR and date of travel/last name, and start the check-in process. Enter the names of the passengers you want to check in. Choose your seats from the seat map. Boarding pass, if generated, can be printed or saved as a soft copy. You also have the option to receive it via email.

What is the web-check in policy for special group promotional fares booked through Happyfares ?

Web check-in for such tickets can only be done a day before the departure date, after 7 pm evening because that is when the airlines update the passenger names on their portal. You can also reach out to us in any scenario and we will do the web check-in on your behalf.

Is it necessary to present an RT-PCR report at the airport prior to taking off?

For both local and international travel, an RT-PCR test is required 48 hours before your flight's scheduled departure. You must present the negative report at the origin airport before boarding your aircraft. You would need to submit the RT-PCR report along with a QR code to numerous international destinations. An ICMR-approved laboratory signature and stamp must be present on all such reports. Alternatively, you can also download the Aarogya Setu app as they serve as vaccine certificates as well.

What is the policy regarding a pregnant woman?

A pregnant lady can only travel domestically and internationally up to 36 weeks into her pregnancy. An 'OK to travel' certificate issued by a registered gynecologist is required. However, each airline has its own rules regarding pregnant women's travel.

What items or things cannot be brought on board?

In addition to articles prohibited from carriage in checked baggage, dry cell batteries, knives, scissors, sharp instruments, tools, firearms, ammunition, toy replicas, and explosives, among other things, are prohibited for carriage in cabin baggage for safety reasons and subject to applicable laws.

What exactly is a reschedule?

A modification in your travel plans is referred to as a reschedule or a reissue. You can change the date or time (or both) of your trip, but not the sector(s) on which you're currently booked. If you have a flight booked from Mumbai to New Delhi, you cannot modify your destination to Goa. Please keep in mind that airline changes are not permitted in the event of any reschedule from the airline's end. You can, however, cancel your current reservation and rebook with a different airline of your choice online.

What is the cost of rescheduling a flight?

All modifications are subject to a cost that varies with each airline. Happyfares also charges a designated HappyFares Reschedule Fee per passenger per sector in addition to this amount. When we make changes to your travel plans, we will collect these fees from you. When the modification is made, we will also collect the difference in fare, if any. We'll email your updated tickets to the email address you used for the initial booking within 60 minutes of making the modification.

Can all tickets booked using HappyFares be rescheduled ?

Most but not all. According to airline policies, certain promotional fare bookings are issued to customers upon agreement of the facts that they cannot be rescheduled or canceled under any circumstances.  Nevertheless, whether your flight ticket can be rescheduled or not will be clearly mentioned on the booking confirmation email (Ticket Copy) for your convenience.

What is the method that Airlines use to identify, recover, and return my missing baggage?

Check-in counters typically close 45 minutes before departure, and boarding gateways close 30 minutes before departure. However, it is better to confirm the same with the respective airlines.

What are the cancellation charges?

The cancellation charges depend on the airline, sector, class of booking, and time of cancellation. To know what’s applicable in your case, check the fare rules mentioned on the booking page when you’re booking your flight ticket. Cancellation charges are as per the Airline rules and policies; these are also clearly mentioned in the Ticket Copy for your reference. HappyFares also charges a cancellation fee per passenger along with the initial charges. A confirmed booking is provided subject to the passengers agreeing to those charges. 

How do I cancel a flight reservation ?

Canceling a flight booking you made on Happyfares is super easy. You can directly do it from the Happyfares app or go to the My Trips section and choose the ticket which you want to cancel. Please note that all cancellations have to be done at least 6 hours prior to the flight departure time. We recommend you get in touch with us at our 24/7 helpline before you decide to go ahead with the cancellation as not all tickets are cancellable.

The flight I booked was canceled by the airline. How do I get my money back?

In most situations, if the flight you booked gets canceled, you are generally allowed to claim a full refund. To do so, first reach out to the airline's customer care and cancel your booking.

Next, just send us an email to [email protected] mentioning that your flight was canceled, we will just deduct our service charges and make sure you get a full refund, after verifying the same with the airline.

If I need to cancel my flight, what’s the latest I can do this by?

It actually depends on the cancellation time frame that is mentioned on your ticket. At Happyfares, you can cancel your flight no later than 24 hours before the time of departure. If it’s later than 24 hours, you should contact the airlines directly for cancellation but you may reach us as well. 

How will I get my money back after a cancellation?

We will refund your money to the same source of payment you used to make the booking reservation. For example, if you paid using a credit card, we will reverse the transaction and your credit card will be credited. We will credit your debit card if you use one. The entire process can take upto 5-7 working days in general but that is the maximum time frame.

How long does it take to process a refund?

We normally process refunds within three to four business days of cancellation. However, depending on your bank, it may take a little longer to appear on your account statement. Most refunds take roughly 5-7 working days to reach their respective accounts, generally.

I booked my flights on happyfares but then canceled them by directly contacting the airline. How do I claim my refund?

We strongly advise you to notify us directly after canceling your flight from the airlines end. Depending on your bank, the refund usually takes 4 to 15 days to process (from the day we learn about the cancellation). The refund process may also take upto three weeks for certain carriers or in circumstances such as no-show or airline cancellation.

The airline I booked has suspended its operations. How do I claim my refund?

In such a case, we would require an affirmation (email / SMS screenshot) from the airlines stating that the flight had been canceled. You may email us the scanned document, and we will handle the rest.

Can I make any last-minute reschedule/cancellations at the airport?

Last-minute changes can usually be made directly with the airline or in the airlines counter at the airport. When speaking with the airline, make sure you have the PNR number that was issued to you. Please keep in mind that these will be subject to the Fare Rules and limits that apply to the fare/ticket in question. Please note that airlines reserve the final decision on any such matters.

Is it possible to get a refund if I miss my flight?

If you miss your flight, it will be labeled as a "No Show," and your refund will be determined as per the airline's policy. Depending on the airline's policy, no-show fees will be assessed which generally lead to no refund.

What is Special Category Group promotional fare?

Special Category Group promotional fares are privately negotiated by us to provide customers with savings of up to 40% compared to regular fares. This fare is usually offered for a limited time and is subject to availability. Once booked, this is a 100% confirmed ticket, meaning you can travel with peace of mind at a lower cost without having to re-verify your details with the airline. Can I cancel or change my booking if I have booked Special Category Group promotional fare?

No, once you have booked Special Category Group promotional fare, it cannot be cancelled or changed.

Absolutely! Additional services Like Seats or Meals can be purchased while web checking-in or at the airport check-in counter and on-board.
